Atlantic Hearts Sketch #183

Welcome to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch!  I was having super fun playing with my gelli plate and some new acrylic paints I picked up.  The pinky reddish background was a result of the gelli plate and stencils.  I truly love working with this technique.

Once they were dry, I used embossing paste and glitter and a pumpkin patch stencil.  I colored the pumpkins with my spectrum noir markers and added a few embellishments.

I hope you'll consider designing a card for the challenge this week!  Thank you for stopping by!

It's Technique Tuesday! Gelli Plate printing for card backgrounds!

I am just loving playing with my Gelli Plate.  It has been my go-to in the craft room lately.  I'm not sure if I like making a mess or the end results better!

This is the first Technique Tuesday video since my relocation to Georgia.  I'm still trying to figure out the lighting, sound, etc - so this was the first attempt.

I hope you enjoy this video!  If you love the Gelli Plate as much as I do, there are also more economical printing plates available on Amazon.  They are new to the market and people are seeing good results.  Enjoy!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #181

This stamp was too cute not to buy!!!  Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch!  Thank you so much for joining us this week.

This was a simple design because I really didn't want to take anything away from the sentiment.  I snuck this card into Sean's work bag while he was traveling for a few days.  I sure hope it brought a smile to his face when he saw it!

I hope you'll consider designing a card this week!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #179

It's time to 'Wine a Little!'  And... it's time for another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!  I picked up a new wine stamp set and was itching to play with it.

Personally, I think there is a bit too much white space, so I'm contemplating embossing the background and giving it another try.

The wine glasses are colored in with Spectrum Noir Glitter Pens.

I hope you'll join us for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #179.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #177

Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!  I used my Gelli Printing Plate and had fun making some crazy backgrounds!

I decided to turn the current challenge on its side and let the colors play and speak for themselves!  I used the new Lawn Fawn die 'Smile' and added some flowers to the corners.

I hope you'll join us this week for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #177!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #171

I'm having so much fun in my studio lately!  I committed to the Daily Marker's 30 Day Coloring Challenge and each week I focused on a different designer.  This was one of the flower sets I colored from Penny Black.  I used Spectrum Noir Markers for the flowers and Spectrum Noir Glitter Pens for the leaves.  Each of the flowers was fussy cut and adhered to the oval background which was raised with pop dots.  I hope you'll join use this week at Atlantic Hearts Sketch #171!
