Atlantic Hearts Sketch #157

I am finally able to set time aside to play in my craft room... and I'm making it a priority to return to my normal busy creating self!  Also, I finally can work without my left index finger all bandaged up!
My division start-up goes live on May 2nd and there are just a few remaining items to tackle over the next week.  Then I hope it all runs on auto-pilot!

Please join us this week at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #157.  The minute I saw this cute sketch, I swore it was a camera!  The cheese stamps are from Lawn Fawn.

I hope you can join us!  Thanks for stopping by!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #153

Hi All!  I'm back!  I failed to cut my finger off when I was making baked brie and sliced my finger pretty badly, but we're healing and were able to design a card for Atlantic Hearts Sketch #153!

I embossed the 'congratulations' from Lawn Fawn and used mint wash tape as well as the silver designed washi tape.  For the silver lines, I used 1/4" double sided sticky tape and laid foil over it and burnished it.  I just love the look and love playing with foil!

Get your craft on!  Come and play this week!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #149

Welcome to Atlantic Hearts Sketch #149!  Beeeeee Yourself!!!
I used a honeycomb embossing folder and matching 1" embossing folder to create this card!  I embossed the larger pattern and then used multiple distress inks to create the bright colored background.

I hope you'll join us at Atlantic Hearts Sketch #149.

4 Crafty Chicks - Gingham

I'm not going to lie... gingham was a tough challenge for me!  It took quite a bit of time to find gingham paper and then decide what to do with it!  I wanted to do a simple card with a plain background and finally decided to make some flowers!  I used the Heartfelt Creations Sunflower die and added a brad to the middle.  I stamped a few stems and leaves and used a pop up dot to secure the flowers.  The birthday sentiment is from Close to My Heart!  I hope you come and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks this week!  It has been a great four weeks as their guest designer - I'm looking forward to see what the next guest designer comes up with!

4 Crafty Chicks - Friendship

Welcome to another 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge: Friendship.

I just love this Penny Black 'Fe'line' Die.  It is very versatile and I've done a number of cards with it.

I used spectrum noir markers to color in the kittens and then used some distress inks to create the background.  I did die cut the kittens on white paper that was stuck to double sided tape - so essentially, the die became a sticker.  The paper is a pebble background and the stamp is from Ellen Hutson 'Amazing Women.'

I hope you come and join us!  Get your craft on!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #147

Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch!  This is challenge #147.  I hope you will come and join us.

I decided instead of cutting paper, to create a retiform background and instead of ink, I decided to play with my Pan Pastels.  If you have never played with this type of medium, here is a video I have previously posted.

Then I stamped a few sea shells and colored the shells with colored pencils and added some clear wink of Stella.

If you would like to more about retiform, use this link to see a previous video I created.

I hope you join us this week!

4 Crafty Chicks - Bling

Welcome back to another 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge!  This is my second week of being a guest designer.  This week is all about the BLING!  I used a hero arts stamp that I embossed in silver and added a bunch of gems sporadically on the stems.  The sentiment is from the Ellen Hutson 'Amazing Women' stamp set which I have just fallen in love with.  The 4x5.5" panel was matted on a blue sparkle paper.  It's so hard to capture the bling!  I hope you come and join us this week for the challenge!
