Watercolor Background and Laser Printing with Foil

What an exciting craft day at Don't Run With Scissors!  I was inspired by two youtube videos I came across over the last week and decided to try to mash them together! The background of the card was made with watercolors.  The youtube video can be found here - it is by Sandy Allnock.  She used the Kuretake Gansai Tambi water colors.  Since I haven't purchased that yet, I used the peerless water colors and pearlescent watercolors (for the gold accent which is hard to see in the photo).  Sandy had a lot more movement with her watercolor.  I think she layered it on much thicker than I did and used a heat gun to move the color around.  Also, the gold water color she used was amazing and definitely on my shopping list!
The Wine Bottle!  That was used by installing Tagxedo an online word mosiac generator.  I uploaded the image of a wine bottle (and a wine glass) and picked all the words I wanted to use and printed it on my laser printer.  Then, I used the one of the latest videos from Jennifer McGuire and 'laminated' foil to my laser printout!  I found a $10 laminator at Aldi's and I'm in love!  Absolutely amazing!

I am so excited to present this card and entered it into the sosuzystamps.com monthly challenge!
