Creative Knockouts - Outside Fun

What is more fun than an Easter Egg Hunt!  Thank you for stopping by this weeks Creative Knockouts Challenge - Outside Fun sponsored by The Paper Shelter.  The image I chose to work with this week is Easter Bunny.  I loved this image and had so many ideas on what to do with it... then the slide card popped into my brain and I couldn't shake it.  I separated the bunny from the bottom of the egg and placed it on a slide - so when the card is fully opened, you see the sentiment 'Have an Eggstra Special Day'.  I made a few of them so I could donate them to our community Easter Egg Hunt this weekend.  Slide cards are relatively easy to make and only cost you a .01.  :)  I'll have to make that one of my next Technique Tuesday videos.  Happy Easter everyone and Happy Crafting!

Aud Sentiments #200 Easter or Spring Sentiment

Happy Easter Everyone!  I can hardly believe April is already here.  This weeks Aud Sentiments sponsor is Sasayaki Glitter.  I just love this little bunny.  The image is Bunny and Butterflies.  I had more fun playing with the shaving cream background technique and Ken Oliver's colorbursts.  I love the marbling effect.  The sentiment is a wooden block stamp from Hero Arts that I picked up years ago.  I was going through the stamp drawer and with all the adversity we are experiencing in America, what better this Easter season that to challenge yourself to be the change you wish to see in the world.  Thank you so much for stopping by!  I can't wait to see your creations for this Aud Sentiments challenge.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #257

It's time for another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!  I am just loving this shaving cream background technique.  This one was made with Ken Oliver Colorbursts.  I just love love love the marbling.  I picked this little fox up during Hobby Lobby's latest clearance round and the sentiment is from.  Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope you will join us this week for Michelle's sketch #257 found below.  Happy Crafting.

If you give a crafter a cookie! Challenge #90

Welcome to the next If you give a crafter a cookie challenge!  Hosted this week by Little Blue Button Stamps.  This week I chose to work with Bells.    The background is double sided sticky tape covered with warm glitter from Elizabeth Crafts.  I colored in the flowers with my spectrum noir markers and added some glossy accents to highlight the little yellow areas.

Happy Spring everyone - even though New England is now in the middle of their 4th Nor'Easter of the year.... and when I was flying in from Jacksonville it was 50 degrees!  Burr!

Happy Crafting!

Creative Knockouts #237 Spring is on the Way!

Happy Spring?  Maybe not, since I'm in New England for the 3rd Nor'Easter in two weeks!  Thank you to Broken Fairy Designs for sponsoring this challenge. The image I selected is Pretty Hat.  My mom said it reminded her of the Red Hat Ladies, or something like that.
The background is from My Favorite Things.  I embossed in white and then used distress inks to color in the background.  The dress is colored in with Spectrum Noir Glitter Markers and a white gel pen.  The sentiment is from Crafter's Companion.... one of those kits I got roped into buying from HSN.  Thank you so much for stopping by!  Happy Spring!

Aud Sentiments Challenge #199

I was wondering how to make this a bit more interactive and the off center fold was the trick!  This image from Star Stampz 'The Dragon and the Knight' was too cute to pass up!

For the bingo chart I selected pattern paper, digital stamp, and favorite color.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #255

I traveling for my mom's birthday and had to make this on the fly in her craft room!!!!
I just love this background stamp from My Favorite Things.  I embossed it in gold and then used distress inks to color in the background.  'Just a Note' is from Crafter's Companions die collection that was on HSN a while back!  I love the colors and the delicateness of the card.
Thank you for stopping by!
