Good Luck - an Image from All Dressed Up!

This is my first card with Creative Knockouts!  I had the pleasure of working with my first digital image from All Dressed Up Digi Stamps!  I printed the image on my laserjet printer and then deconstructed the entire image!  I hope they don't mind!!!!  I used my spectrum noir sparkle markers to color in the balloon and then turned it into a shaker card.  The front of the card was made using watercolors and a technique from Prima Watercolors that was posted on Instagram the other day.  It was so quick and simple to make a 'sky' after watching that video!  Once the card was assembled, I added the baskets, ribbons, and birds back in.  The sentiment is from Crafter's Companion - it was a sentiment set from HSN that I cannot locate to post below.  I used the image on the inside of the card and lowered the resolution to hide it behind the words.  I'm pleased with how this card turned out for my first digital image attempt.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #227

Welcome back to another Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #227.  Michelle provided us with a delicate sketch this week and I was excited to try a new background stamp to use up all the white space.  I used the Concord & 9th 'Oh Hello' roundabout stamp.  This stamp you use after turning your paper 4 times.  The first two stamps were embossed with a glittery white and grape embossing powder.  The remaining to turns were Stampin' Up Inks I had in my craft stash.

I used up some scraps and die cut 'hello' from Winnie & Walter.  This is one of my favorite dies!!!

Added a quick bow... and wa-la!  A quick 'hello' card!

With Deepest Sympathy

It's unfortunate when you need to make a sympathy card.

I first saw a similar card on the Altenew Blog by Erum Tasneem.  I didn't have that particular Altenew set but decided to try this set from Winnie & Walter that I had been itching to use.  I needed a detailed flower that I stamped with Versa Mark Ink and embossed in Ranger White & Clear embossing powders.  I then stamped the flower and the leaves with VersaFine Black ink on a separate sheet of paper and colored in with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  I did add a little sparkle to the big flower which is hard to see in the images below.  I fussy cut the images out and adhered them with some foam dots.  I used the Impression Obsession stamp 'with deepest sympathy' to finish off my card.

Thank you for stopping by!

I LOVE Fall! It's Coming!

I am missing Connecticut and the coming of Fall!  I found this little critter with his acorn on Craftin' Desert Divas.  I'm still trying to learn how to work with digital stamps and this time I tried using my Spectrum Noir Colored pencils and a blending pencil.  I will admit, the blender pencil does smudge the laserjet printing.  So - I will not do that in the future!

The background embossing folder is from Anna Griffin and just complimented this munchkin!  The 'I love fall' is from a Lawn Fawn set and I added some stickles to the heart.  I die cut the sentiment from a leaf set I have had for ages!  I wish I remembered where it came from.

I used distress oxide inks to make the sky and then added the little trees from a lawn fawn die.

The large blue circle is a die cut from ..

Thank you for stopping by!  I am so looking forward to fall!

You make everything shine!

I'm still on my quest to perfect using digital images!  This little gal is from Craftin Desert Divas.

I created the background using distress oxide inks and then added some subtle white circles using the Bokeh technique.  Then I die cut the background in half with a Crafter's Companion edge die.  Under the front sheet is a series of different washi tapes that I picked up at various stores.

The stamp is from Concord & 9th Sunshine turnabout stamp set.  Once everything was assembled I added Nuvo Drops.

This card was entered into the 4 Crafty Chicks Washi Tape Challenge.

Back to School - It's that time of year again to hit the books!

It's Back to School Time!

I've started researching and playing more with digital images and seeing what and how supplies work with laserjet ink.

This little guy is from Craftin Desert Divas!

I embossed the Impression Obsession Books background stamp with copper embossing powder and then added some distress oxide inks to antique it even more.  I colored in the owl with my spectrum noir markers and added some sparkle with their glitter markers.

The 'Good Luck' Die cut is from an HSN bundle package and the embossed paper is also from the Crafter's Companion Diamond Edge HSN package.

Happy Crafting and good luck to all of those going back to school!

Sending Hugs from Georgia

My baby girl wanted to send her favorite mom a card!  Luna created this card using scrap paper cut into 1/4" lengths and attached to a 4x6 sheet of paper.  She then die cut the 'love' out of the top right corner.  She colored in Newton to look just like her and made sure the ball of string was a glittery pink!  She added a little bit of string and a cute tag saying 'sending hugs.'  She sure does miss her mommy in Connecticut... and so do I.
We are entering this card into the Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge which focused on the colors teal, black, magenta , and white.  We are also entering this card into the 4 Crafty Chicks Sequins challenge this week.
