Atlantic Hearts Sketch #265

Welcome back to this weeks Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!  I'm glad you made it back!  This weeks challenge was super fun!  I decided to use pattern paper, which I never do!  Then I added some Altenew flowers and the 'Just Because' sentiment.  I love the contrast of the pattern paper... I just never use it!  I can't wait to see your creativity!  Happy crafting!

Creative Knockouts - Furry Friends

Mice are by far my favorite critter and I was so excited exploring our sponsor's site Di's Digi Stamps!  I selected Poppy Mouse to use for this weeks challenge.  I printed the image out on my laser printer and colored in using my spectrum noir markers and glitter markers.  I finished off the flowers with some glossy accents.  The 'smile' die cut sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.  I cut out three and stacked them together to add a little dimension to the card!  I can't wait to see what Furry Friends creations you come up with!  Happy Crafting!

Aud Sentiments - Summer!

Summer is almost here!  I can't believe Memorial Day (United States) is this upcoming weekend!  I cannot wait for a 4 day weekend!  I just love this little critter from our host, Bugaboo - Mouse Big Flower.  I printed him out on my laser printer and colored him in with my Spectrum Noir markers and added a little glitter!  The sentiment is from Crafters Companion - a stamp set I got years ago on HSN.  Thank you so much for joining us at Aud Sentiments this week!  I can't wait to see your Summer Craftiness!

If you Give a Crafter a Cookie Challenge #94

I've never tried to use an image and create an edge with it - it was a little more tricky than previously expected!  Thank goodness for my Brother Scanncut!  I printed the image on my laser jet printer, added a wee bit of color to his nose, and then cut and cut and cut.... and layer some paper, washi tape, and rainbow tape, till I thought the card was all set!  The sentiment is from a stamp set I got years ago!  I can't even figure out the manufacturer!  Thank you for stopping by If you Give a Crafter a Cookie this week!  The above image is this week's inspiration!  Thank you so much to our host Becky's Place.  The image used is out of her Cattitude Digital Stamps.

Creative Knockouts - Humorous

Go Wild!!!  Humorous is the theme for this week's Creative Knockouts Card Challenge!  We are sponsored by Fabrika Fantasy.  This zebra is just too cute.  I used a sheet of vellum that I had colored with alcohol inks and ran that through my laser jet printer.  I cut just the pool out and then covered it with glossy accents.  The zebra is colored in with Spectrum Noir markers and the sentiment is from Sweet Stamp Shop.  Thank you for stopping by!  Happy Crafting!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #263

It's Mother's Day!  Luna needed to create a special card for a special lady and this was a great sketch to use for our challenge this week at Atlantic Hearts Sketch!   The background embossing die cut is from Lawn Fawn and I absolutely love it.  The sentiment is also from Lawn Fawn.  I colored Newton in with spectrum noir markers and added glossy accents to the water in the bird bath.  The died background paper was made with alcohol inks and vellum.  I hope you'll join us for this sketch!  Happy crafting!

If you Give a Crafter a Cookie - Challenge #93

Oh happy day!  It's time for another challenge at If you Give a Crafter a Cookie!  I sure could use a cookie today!  :)  I had so much fun making this card.  The image, Fairy Kitty, is from A Day for Daisies, the sponsor for this week's challenge.  The background was made playing with alcohol inks on vellum and a hair dryer.  I can't tell you how much fun this is. I will definitely have to make this a Technique Tuesday video when I get back up and running with videos!  The wings are also made from playing with alcohol inks on acetate paper.  The Thanks and sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.  Thank you so much for stopping by this week!  Happy Crafting!

Creative Knockouts - Doily Delight

It is so unfortunate when you need to send a sympathy card.  This weeks card for Creative Knockouts, sponsored by Sparkle N Sprinkle was made using the image Calla Lillies.  I printed two images and fussy cut each of the flowers out and popped them up with foam dots.  The flowers are colored with spectrum noir markers and coated with a clear spectrum noir glitter pen.  I used distress oxides to color in the doily.  The prayers diecut and 'Thinking of You' sentiment is from Hero Arts.  I stacked three of the prayer die cuts to add a little more dimension to the card.  While I am saddened to have to send this card, I do find it a bit cheery because of the colors.  Thank you for joining us this week at Creative Knockouts!  I can't wait to see what 'doily' creations y'all make!

Aud Sentiments #202 Masculine

I have to laugh... I had this card on our kitchen island to remember to photograph it and Sean, my witty fiance, came in and said 'Shouldn't it say Happy Feather's Day!'  How cute is that!?

So, this card, using Quackers from Dr Digi's House of Stamps is called 'Happy Feather's Day!'.  To say I had fun making this card is an understatement.  I included the actual image below.  I bought a yellow boa at Hobby Lobby and started plucking feathers on to these little guys.  Then I colored in the beak, eyes, and feet, and fussy cut them out and glues them on top of the feathers.  The background is whipped spackle with warm glitter from Elizabeth Crafts.  The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #261

I need to stop playing with alcohol inks and yupo paper!  They are just so much fun!  For this sketch, I used alcohol inks and the blending solution to create the background.  I then used three strips of double sided tape and added gold foil.  The sentiment 'Lovely' is from a Heidi Swapp die and the stamped sentiment is from Ellen Hutson.  Thank you so much for stopping by Atlantic Hearts Sketch #261!

If you give a crafter a cookie - Challenge #92

Welcome to Challenge #92 hosted by Bugaboo Stamps! This image is Bugaboo Bee #3.  The background is made of alcohol inks on Yupo Paper.  Then I added some whipped spackle to a hexagon stencil and added warm glitter.  I colored in our little bee with Spectrum Noir markers and Glitter Markers.  The 'Hello' and sentiment are from Hero Arts.  Your challenge, should you chose to participate, is to create a card using the below cookie image as inspiration!  I hope you had as much fun as I did!  Happy Crafting!

Creative Knockouts Challenge #241 Lots of Layers

Welcome back to this weeks Creative Knockouts Challenge - Lots of Layers hosted by Sasayaki Glitter.  I have worked with their image Tea Mouse in the past and just absolutely love him!

I had fun layering these die cuts piece of papers, using a Lawn Fawn scalloped edge die cut.  The image is colored in with Spectrum Noir markers, Spectrum Noir glitter markers, and finished off with some Nuvo Drops on the flower and cupcakes.

The sentiment is from Crafters Companion and coated with clear glitter.  I finished up the card with a few gel drops.  Thank you for stopping by!

Aud Sentiments - Happy 8th Birthday

A very Happy 8th Birthday to the Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog!  This week's challenge is sponsored by The Paper Shelter.  I selected this image: A Curious Cake.
I colored the cake in with my spectrum noir markers and added 'frosting' by using Nuvo White Drops.  The background is made by using alcohol inks on Yupo Paper and then stamping balloons with Archival Ink and wiping away the image.  The Archival Ink actually lifts the alcohol ink off the Yupo Paper leaving a 'ghost' like image.  Thank you for stopping by!  And a very Happy Birthday to the Aud Sentiments Team!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #259

You make the world a better place!  I just love this set from Simon Says Stamp!
This was a unique challenge for Atlantic Hearts Sketch - we were able to each use our country as the focal point.  I actually just picked up this USA stamp from Hobby Lobby.
The background is made by playing with alcohol inks on Yupo Paper.  I'm falling in love with this technique!  I also added drywall tape to add some texture.  One is painted aqua and the other is the color the tape is.  Thank you for joining us this week!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter!  I was finally able to  upload this to my blog because all the recipients finally opened their mail!  And just in time so I could enter this in the 4 Crafty Chicks Flower Challenge!  The flowers are from The Ton, part of their new Daisy Collection.   After I embossed them in gold, I used my Gansai Watercolors on watercolor paper.  The sentiment is from WPlus9 - it is actually just one part of the saying, as I masked off the remainder of the stamp.  I used the whole sentiment inside the card.  Thank you so much for stopping by!  Happy Easter and hopefully a happy start to Spring!

Two Crafty Critter Crazies - April Challenge

Happy April!  Welcome back to another 2 Crafty Critter Crazies challenge hosted by Linda Simpson
For this months card, I selected the pattern paper les beaux oiseaux.  I die cut them with a stitched square die and then went over each of the stitches with a white gel pen.  The Thank You is from Memory Box Dies and the butterfly is an Elizabeth Crafts sticker that I added microfine glitter too.
Thank you for stopping by!  And Happy Crafting!

Creative Knockouts - Outside Fun

What is more fun than an Easter Egg Hunt!  Thank you for stopping by this weeks Creative Knockouts Challenge - Outside Fun sponsored by The Paper Shelter.  The image I chose to work with this week is Easter Bunny.  I loved this image and had so many ideas on what to do with it... then the slide card popped into my brain and I couldn't shake it.  I separated the bunny from the bottom of the egg and placed it on a slide - so when the card is fully opened, you see the sentiment 'Have an Eggstra Special Day'.  I made a few of them so I could donate them to our community Easter Egg Hunt this weekend.  Slide cards are relatively easy to make and only cost you a .01.  :)  I'll have to make that one of my next Technique Tuesday videos.  Happy Easter everyone and Happy Crafting!

Aud Sentiments #200 Easter or Spring Sentiment

Happy Easter Everyone!  I can hardly believe April is already here.  This weeks Aud Sentiments sponsor is Sasayaki Glitter.  I just love this little bunny.  The image is Bunny and Butterflies.  I had more fun playing with the shaving cream background technique and Ken Oliver's colorbursts.  I love the marbling effect.  The sentiment is a wooden block stamp from Hero Arts that I picked up years ago.  I was going through the stamp drawer and with all the adversity we are experiencing in America, what better this Easter season that to challenge yourself to be the change you wish to see in the world.  Thank you so much for stopping by!  I can't wait to see your creations for this Aud Sentiments challenge.

Creative Knockouts #237 Spring is on the Way!

Happy Spring?  Maybe not, since I'm in New England for the 3rd Nor'Easter in two weeks!  Thank you to Broken Fairy Designs for sponsoring this challenge. The image I selected is Pretty Hat.  My mom said it reminded her of the Red Hat Ladies, or something like that.
The background is from My Favorite Things.  I embossed in white and then used distress inks to color in the background.  The dress is colored in with Spectrum Noir Glitter Markers and a white gel pen.  The sentiment is from Crafter's Companion.... one of those kits I got roped into buying from HSN.  Thank you so much for stopping by!  Happy Spring!

Aud Sentiments Challenge #199

I was wondering how to make this a bit more interactive and the off center fold was the trick!  This image from Star Stampz 'The Dragon and the Knight' was too cute to pass up!

For the bingo chart I selected pattern paper, digital stamp, and favorite color.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #255

I traveling for my mom's birthday and had to make this on the fly in her craft room!!!!
I just love this background stamp from My Favorite Things.  I embossed it in gold and then used distress inks to color in the background.  'Just a Note' is from Crafter's Companions die collection that was on HSN a while back!  I love the colors and the delicateness of the card.
Thank you for stopping by!

2 Crafty Critter Crazies March Challenge

It's March!  In like a Lion out like a lamb!  Welcome back to 2 Crafty Critter Crazies!

How cute is this little guy?  This is Spotted Kitty by Limited Runs who is sponsoring this months challenge.

I colored him in with my Spectrum Noir markers and some Spectrum Noir glitter markers and popped him up on a piece of pet paper I had.  'Hugs' is from Winnie & Walter - and I reversed double side taped it.  When I took off the backing of the paper, I covered it with espresso glitter since I didn't have any brown sparkle paper.

Roaaaarrrrr - Happy March!

Creative Knockouts #235 Fancy Flourishes

This little girl fishing for the kitten is adorable!  This is Goldfish Fishing by Starz Stamps our sponsor this week for Creative Knockouts.

It was relaxing to sit down and color after a hectic day at work.  The fish and her bow are colored with Spectrum Noir glitter markers.  Everything else is colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  The sentiment - which is ADORABLE - is from Dienamics.

I can't wait to see your creativity this week!!!  Thank you so much for visiting us at Creative Knockouts this week.
