Creative Knockouts - Doily Delight

It is so unfortunate when you need to send a sympathy card.  This weeks card for Creative Knockouts, sponsored by Sparkle N Sprinkle was made using the image Calla Lillies.  I printed two images and fussy cut each of the flowers out and popped them up with foam dots.  The flowers are colored with spectrum noir markers and coated with a clear spectrum noir glitter pen.  I used distress oxides to color in the doily.  The prayers diecut and 'Thinking of You' sentiment is from Hero Arts.  I stacked three of the prayer die cuts to add a little more dimension to the card.  While I am saddened to have to send this card, I do find it a bit cheery because of the colors.  Thank you for joining us this week at Creative Knockouts!  I can't wait to see what 'doily' creations y'all make!

Aud Sentiments #202 Masculine

I have to laugh... I had this card on our kitchen island to remember to photograph it and Sean, my witty fiance, came in and said 'Shouldn't it say Happy Feather's Day!'  How cute is that!?

So, this card, using Quackers from Dr Digi's House of Stamps is called 'Happy Feather's Day!'.  To say I had fun making this card is an understatement.  I included the actual image below.  I bought a yellow boa at Hobby Lobby and started plucking feathers on to these little guys.  Then I colored in the beak, eyes, and feet, and fussy cut them out and glues them on top of the feathers.  The background is whipped spackle with warm glitter from Elizabeth Crafts.  The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #261

I need to stop playing with alcohol inks and yupo paper!  They are just so much fun!  For this sketch, I used alcohol inks and the blending solution to create the background.  I then used three strips of double sided tape and added gold foil.  The sentiment 'Lovely' is from a Heidi Swapp die and the stamped sentiment is from Ellen Hutson.  Thank you so much for stopping by Atlantic Hearts Sketch #261!

If you give a crafter a cookie - Challenge #92

Welcome to Challenge #92 hosted by Bugaboo Stamps! This image is Bugaboo Bee #3.  The background is made of alcohol inks on Yupo Paper.  Then I added some whipped spackle to a hexagon stencil and added warm glitter.  I colored in our little bee with Spectrum Noir markers and Glitter Markers.  The 'Hello' and sentiment are from Hero Arts.  Your challenge, should you chose to participate, is to create a card using the below cookie image as inspiration!  I hope you had as much fun as I did!  Happy Crafting!

Creative Knockouts Challenge #241 Lots of Layers

Welcome back to this weeks Creative Knockouts Challenge - Lots of Layers hosted by Sasayaki Glitter.  I have worked with their image Tea Mouse in the past and just absolutely love him!

I had fun layering these die cuts piece of papers, using a Lawn Fawn scalloped edge die cut.  The image is colored in with Spectrum Noir markers, Spectrum Noir glitter markers, and finished off with some Nuvo Drops on the flower and cupcakes.

The sentiment is from Crafters Companion and coated with clear glitter.  I finished up the card with a few gel drops.  Thank you for stopping by!

Aud Sentiments - Happy 8th Birthday

A very Happy 8th Birthday to the Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog!  This week's challenge is sponsored by The Paper Shelter.  I selected this image: A Curious Cake.
I colored the cake in with my spectrum noir markers and added 'frosting' by using Nuvo White Drops.  The background is made by using alcohol inks on Yupo Paper and then stamping balloons with Archival Ink and wiping away the image.  The Archival Ink actually lifts the alcohol ink off the Yupo Paper leaving a 'ghost' like image.  Thank you for stopping by!  And a very Happy Birthday to the Aud Sentiments Team!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #259

You make the world a better place!  I just love this set from Simon Says Stamp!
This was a unique challenge for Atlantic Hearts Sketch - we were able to each use our country as the focal point.  I actually just picked up this USA stamp from Hobby Lobby.
The background is made by playing with alcohol inks on Yupo Paper.  I'm falling in love with this technique!  I also added drywall tape to add some texture.  One is painted aqua and the other is the color the tape is.  Thank you for joining us this week!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter!  I was finally able to  upload this to my blog because all the recipients finally opened their mail!  And just in time so I could enter this in the 4 Crafty Chicks Flower Challenge!  The flowers are from The Ton, part of their new Daisy Collection.   After I embossed them in gold, I used my Gansai Watercolors on watercolor paper.  The sentiment is from WPlus9 - it is actually just one part of the saying, as I masked off the remainder of the stamp.  I used the whole sentiment inside the card.  Thank you so much for stopping by!  Happy Easter and hopefully a happy start to Spring!

Two Crafty Critter Crazies - April Challenge

Happy April!  Welcome back to another 2 Crafty Critter Crazies challenge hosted by Linda Simpson
For this months card, I selected the pattern paper les beaux oiseaux.  I die cut them with a stitched square die and then went over each of the stitches with a white gel pen.  The Thank You is from Memory Box Dies and the butterfly is an Elizabeth Crafts sticker that I added microfine glitter too.
Thank you for stopping by!  And Happy Crafting!
