Watercolor Background and Laser Printing with Foil
What an exciting craft day at Don't Run With Scissors! I was inspired by two youtube videos I came across over the last week and decided to try to mash them together! The background of the card was made with watercolors. The youtube video can be found here - it is by Sandy Allnock. She used the Kuretake Gansai Tambi water colors. Since I haven't purchased that yet, I used the peerless water colors and pearlescent watercolors (for the gold accent which is hard to see in the photo). Sandy had a lot more movement with her watercolor. I think she layered it on much thicker than I did and used a heat gun to move the color around. Also, the gold water color she used was amazing and definitely on my shopping list!
The Wine Bottle! That was used by installing Tagxedo an online word mosiac generator. I uploaded the image of a wine bottle (and a wine glass) and picked all the words I wanted to use and printed it on my laser printer. Then, I used the one of the latest videos from Jennifer McGuire and 'laminated' foil to my laser printout! I found a $10 laminator at Aldi's and I'm in love! Absolutely amazing! I am so excited to present this card and entered it into the sosuzystamps.com monthly challenge!

Using Gelatos with Stencils and Embossing Powder! Part 3 of 3
Have I said how much I love Gelatos! In this video learn how to use Gelatos with your stencils, by lifting color or by creating a paint with gel medium. Then, learn how Gelatos can be used in conjunction with embossing! The embossing powder, once heat set, will resist the Gelato color which can create one beautiful background! This is probably my favorite technique to use Gelatos with! Enjoy!

Nothing says Happy Birthday like pink balloons!
Pink Balloons should cheer anyone up on their birthday! These were die cuts from Elizabeth Crafts. Unfortunately, the picture does not show the depth of the card, as three of the balloons were raised up with adhesive foam. Happy Birthday!

Stamping & Coloring with Gelatos! Part 2 of 3
I just love coloring with Gelatos! In this video see how to stamp using Gelatos. There are four different ways to transfer the color from the stamp to the paper. All produce a very neat image depending on what type of paper you use and what type of method you use. Then, see how to color in your stamped images! The Gelatos are so versatile that you can scribble or paint to color in your stamped image! Enjoy!

Happy Birthday - Cat Style
A very special co-worker is having a birthday! She loves her two boys as much as I love Luna. This is a simple way to use up some scraps too!
A Masculine Get Well Soon Card
Sending a homemade card to a man can be rather difficult sometimes. Unfortunately, Sean needed one for a co-worker who had an unfortunate run-in with a snow blower.
Hopefully this will brighten his day!
